Can I import my existing schedule into Virgo?
Yes, importing your existing schedule is included in the set up fee. Once you subscribe we will send you a Virgo import template. Just complete the template and return it to us. We will import your schedule and also upload any functions, departments, content types, trigger events, etc. that you identified in the import template.
Is training included with my subscription?
Yes, training is included. As soon as your account and schedule are set up, we will contact you to schedule your new client training. The software is simple to navigate, but we recommend scheduling training as soon as possible so you become familiar with all the great features and capabilities of Virgo.
What level of IT involvement is required?
IT support is generally not required to run Virgo. If your company has a strict internet access policy, you may need to ask your IT department to add Virgo to the list of allowed sites. If you are using the Virgo Employee Portal, you may also need to engage your SharePoint administrator for a simple setup process.
What jurisdictions do you offer?
Virgo’s regulatory database includes federal and state regulations in the United States, federal and provincial regulations in Canada, and national regulations in countries around the globe.

IGS employs a dedicated and full-time team of attorneys, records managers, paralegals and specialists in information governance. This team continually performs research and is also the support team for you, should you have questions about the legal citations in the system. What jurisdictions do you offer?
Virgo’s regulatory database includes federal and state regulations in the United States, federal and provincial regulations in Canada, and national regulations in countries around the globe.
How frequently is the research updated?
The research is constantly updated as we are engaged by various clients on a regular basis. However, for budgeting and your internal logistical purposes, we recommend checking for updates once per year for the United States and Canadian regulations, and once every two to three years for all other jurisdictions outside the U.S. and Canada. If you require a more frequent update cycle, please contact us.
Does IGS or its products offer legal advice?
No. IGS offers professional opinion when engaged as consultants. Our subscription based products and services provide regulatory research and management tools for the customer to use at their discretion. However, through the partnership of our co-founder, John Isaza, at Rimon, PC, we can provide a referral for delivery of retention schedule information as legal advice.

Do I need to install anything?
No! Virgo is a cloud-based application. If you have a recent version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer, you are ready to go.

Are there additional costs?
The packages listed above have everything you need to get started. However, depending on your needs, you may choose to add more users or more jurisdictions to your subscription. You may also decide to engage additional professional support from IGS or one of our legal or consulting partners.
What options do i have to export/report on my data?
Virgo makes it easy to export your data. You can generate reports and export data in PDF, Word, Excel, and CSV formats.
What content management systems do you integrate with?
Virgo’s REST API is available for integration with any content management or other enterprise systems.
Can I change plans or cancel my subscription?
If you are not 100% satisfied with Virgo, you may cancel your subscription within the first 30 days for a full refund of your subscription fees. You may upgrade plans or add features to your subscription at any time. You can only downgrade plans or remove features when your subscription is up for renewal. Your renewal period may be monthly or annually, depending on your plan.
If I cancel my Virgo subscription, what happens to my data?
If you decide to cancel your subscription, we encourage you to export your data using Virgo’s reporting features prior to canceling. Once your subscription has been canceled, your account and user logins will be disabled and your data can only be exported with the help of technical support. Your data will be purged from our systems 30 days after cancellation.
Can I have research and recommendations delivered as legal opinion?
Yes. IGS works closely with law firms to deliver IG information as legal opinion where appropriate. IGS has delivered many projects in conjunctions with Rimon PC, a global boutique law firm where IGS CEO John Isaza chairs the Information Governance practice.
How will I know when to take statutes of limitations for tax, contracts or escheats into account?
Our research results include a type of citation called “Other Considerations.” These include statutes of limitations that other organizations have considered as retention authorities for certain record series, for example, “Contracts”. And if preferred, you are able to set your own custom retention period to suit the demands of your business units.
